Hello!

I am not the best self-promoter, but let me attempt an "About" page, as that's why you're here, right?

My name is Beth McHugh. Nice to meet you.

I was a computer science major and set my sights on being a developer. However, after negotiating the title "Business Analyst/Developer," I realized I enjoyed understanding the business, user needs, and translating that into valuable products more than coding.

Over the course of 15+ years, I have developed expertise in user research, agile product development, product management, and market research. Through this experience, I have come to understand the crucial role that Product Discovery plays in the success of a product.

After six years of leading product development at startups, I decided to transition to freelance work. This decision was driven by my desire for flexibility, as I have two young children, but also by my passion for Product Discovery. As a freelancer, I am able to focus on this area of expertise and help others understand and implement its value within their product teams.

If you’ve gotten this far, I think it’s time to connect and hop on a call. You can reach out here or on LinkedIn.
